What bulb should I use?

We recommend that our customers use a maximum 40 watt or LED bulb with our lampshades.  Ideally bulbs should be placed a minimum of 5cm away from the side of the shade.

What are the lampshades lined with?

Our lampshades are lined with a firm laminate card inner.  We recommend using an LED or low wattage bulb with your lampshade to prevent overheating and scorching.

Do the lampshades come in a variety of other sizes?

If you would like a lampshade in a different size, please contact us to discuss and we may be able to make a custom made shade for you.

What size lampshade should I buy?

This depends on personal choice, generally you want to keep it in proportion to the base you are considering using the shade with.  Generally:

• have a shade low enough to hide the bulb and light fitting, and
• choose a shade where the base ring is wider than the lamp base.

 Tell us more about the lamp bases

The lamp bases are wired to 240V and have wiring co-ordinated to the colour of the lamp, a 3 pin white plug and complies with Australian safety standards.
